Torshavn Cathedral, in the Faroe Islands, originates from 1788, but has been extensively rebuilt since then. It is the seat of the Lutheran bishop of the Faroes.
The cathedral bell was originally the bell of the 'Norske Love' (Norwegian Lion), which sank nearby in 1708, and a model of this ship hangs within the cathedral.
