Photos of Taal Volcano

It freaks me out even more! by shankar s.

News still fresh about the accident on the Mayo volcano just the previous week still fresh in my mind, (although I'd only read about it), and although it had been my own voluntary decision to get up here, all this hissing steam coming out of the ground was really freaking me out, and I was internally quite relieved to be getting back down. The sight of the resort and the buildings at the far shore were reassuring. It was early afternoon, and on the way down, we saw horse after horse after horse of local tourists making their way up to the crater. There were not dozens, but probably scores of them.
