Gerf Hussein, a partially rock-cut temple built by Setau, Viceroy of Kush, during the reign of Rames by Following Hadrian
The temple was dedicated to Ptah, the deified Ramesses II and Hathor.
The temple was originally a partly free-standing and partly rock-cut temple at a site some 90 km south of Aswan.
The interior of the temple of Gerf Hussein could not be rescued from the waters of the Aswan High Dam because of its poor condition and is now underwater.
